vNOC Services to mainstream video collaboration
Vantage’s customers to benefit from new Video Network Operation Centers (vNOC) in London and Melbourne

Melbourne, 19. February 2008 - Vantage Systems, leading provider of virtual ‘Meeting Solutions’, has created new Video Network Operations Centers (vNOC) in London and Melbourne to facilitate growing demand for global video collaboration.

Equipped to deliver high-quality, highly reliable and secure video communication, both vNOCs provide a suite of conferencing, services – including scheduling, support and operations management - that enable users to experience superior collaboration over video.

“Video is a critical component for companies looking to take global collaboration to the next level.” says Mark Buckley, Chief Executive Officer of Vantage Systems. “For it to be effective, it needs to be as simple as a phone call. Vantage does just that, in delivering fully managed video services which take the operational burden off customers.”

By managing all video collaboration aspects, the vNOCs ensure that the technology as such becomes seamless and transparent for the user. The vNOC services include:

Scheduling and Notification - Conferences are scheduled via a dedicated toll-free number, the vMeeting.NET portal or a concierge service, and then confirmed by email or SMS.

Call Launching and Monitoring - The vNOC launches the conferences, connects all sites (point-to-point or multi-point calls) and ensures the correct camera framing. At all times, the vNOC monitors all of the network connections to make sure that there are no disruptions.

Interoperability Testing and Support - By evaluating and testing the video equipment the vNOC makes sure that there are no interoperability issues with other video systems – especially when conferencing with businesses outside a private network.

Help Desk Support - Available 24/7, the vNOC provide technical support for all active conferences to ensure a high-quality, uninterrupted video experience.

Service Reviews & Reporting – In conjunction with the reporting quarterly basis Service Reviews are held to identify areas of success, as well as areas in need of improvement. The reports provide information on: Network and room service levels and availability, number of conferences held, total hours of usage and details, technical support response times, along with a root cause analysis and corrective action plans where applicable.

Training – To ensure users feel at ease with the video technology, the vNOC hosts periodic training sessions.

Mark Buckley describes the essence of Vantage’s vNOCs as follows:

“The job of our vNOC's is to ensure that all of the technical components of a distance meeting work so that our customers can focus on the meeting not on the technology.”
